Angels With Bare Faces

I've finally found it.

No word of a lie, I have been searching for my perfect cleanser for well over three years now. It's been a long, hard struggle (I'm not exaggerating, I promise), but I think I've finally got my hands on something that's going to change my skincare routine for the better.

Early last week, I needed a little pick-me-up. Now when Sophie needs a pick-me-up, she heads to one of two places - off to Tesco to get a bottle of wine, or straight to Lush to buy herself some beauty goodies. Last week was no different, believe me - my friend had already surprised me with a bottle of wine, so the next stop was straight into Lush to see (and smell) all the different bits and bobs I wanted to buy.

Heading straight to the cleanser counter, I was in my element. I genuinely can't describe the wonderful smells, but if you've been into a Lush store before, you'll understand what I mean. After sniffing my way through half the store, I decided on Angels on Bare Skin (£6.35/100g), a fresh cleanser which smells of lavender - perfect for relaxing you after a hard day, believe me!

It claims to calm the skin and even out skin tone, things which I've really been struggling lately. Big claims, but it definitely does exactly what it says on the tin - my skin doesn't seem as blotchy (red here, dark there, white everywhere else), and it just seems in better condition than it was. The kaolin absorbs any grease and dirt that my skin's picked up throughout the day and leaves it feeling genuinely squeaky clean - cleaner than any other cleanser I've ever used. Also, one of the upsides of this is that you only need a tiny amount (you take a little in your hand and mix a tiny bit of water, which makes a paste), meaning this is definitely going to last me quite a while!

If you're looking for a new cleanser and you have similar skin to me (normal/combination, with frequent - and sometimes painful - blemishes), then I'm recommending this to you.

Lush, you've done it again. In the words of Arnie, I'll be back.
