Bottom Row (L-R) - Naked Lunch (Frost), Wedge (Matte), Sumptuous Olive (Veluxe Pearl)
I'm a MAC eyeshadow convert. I swear, this time three months ago I hadn't even ventured into the wild and ever-expanding world of MAC eyeshadows, but thesedays I'm constantly on the lookout for new shades (Cranberry, I'm comin' for ya!). So it's probably no surprise to you that today is all about these new beauties in my life - I'm going to share with you my top five MAC eyeshadows, for your eyeshadow-lusting pleasure.
Expensive Pink is, as you'd imagine, pink - but it has gold shimmer running through it. Not very wearable on a day-to-day basis, but perfect for the party season - who can say no to a bit of glitter anyway?
Honey Lust is probably my favourite of my shimmery eyeshadows. It's a bronzey peachy shade, which works really well with a neutral smokey eye for day to day wear, but can be amped all the way up for a night on the town.
Naked Lunch was among one of the first MAC eyeshadows I purchased. Everyone needs a pretty base shade, and that's exactly what this gives you. It can be worn on it's own for a wash of colour and shimmer, or as a base for a smokey eye - versatile and pretty, I'm not complaining!
Wedge is described as a 'soft muted beige taupe', which I find works incredibly well with (again) a neutral smokey eye. During the winter months I am one for either bold lips or bold eyes, and this little gem works perfectly for when I want a 'I haven't even tried' smokey eye look.
Sumptuous Olive is last, but by no means least. It's quite possibly my favourite MAC eyeshadow, and I get a huge amount of wear out of it! I find it works best with a super-bold eye look; my choice at the moment being paired with something like Carbon to really amp up the colour - and it's foolproof too. Score.
What are your favourite MAC eyeshadows?
Love the look of sumptuous olive and honey lust, I've never tried tried Mac eye shadows before. I always seem to go for the lipsticks but hey its christmas so I might treat myself to both :) <3
