For today's post, I thought I'd share the products I've been using on my skin for the past few months. I've added a lot of new products to my skincare regime, and the ones that have made the cut have stayed firmly in my favourites - so, here in all their glory, are my essentials when it comes to keeping my skin in tip-top condition.
First up is cleansing. For this, I use my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, which has been a staple of mine for almost a year now. It cleanses and purifies my skin, and the muslin cloth I use to remove it really gets to work on exfoliating too - not a bad two-in-one if I do say! Now, for days when I haven't been wearing any make-up, I usually stick to my good old Clearasil Daily Clear Superfruits Refreshing Scrub to do the same job. It exfoliates and cleanses, all while smelling of raspberries and cranberries... What's not to love?
Next up is toning, for which I use my LUSH Tea Tree Toner Water. It's great for someone with spot-prone skin like me, as the tea tree is antibacterial and helps to prevent any unsightly breakouts. It balances out my skin perfectly, and is really gentle - I can't ask for any more really!
Now, the biggest and most biased part of my whole routine - all four products coming from Origins! My eye cream of choice is their GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream - it reduces dark under eye circles and makes you look a lot more awake than you actually are (perfect for me, let me tell you!). My day cream is Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser, which has been raved about non-stop in the beauty world. You can see a full review here, but let me warn you - you'll never go back to another moisturiser! Now, for my night creams, I switch between two. I use Origins' Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask twice a week, which keeps my skin feeling soft and supple, and the other nights I use their High Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream. Neither of them feel greasy, and they're just moisturising enough, without being greasy or heavy.
As a little addition, or when I'm feeling super run-down and my skin's breaking out like there's no tomorrow, LUSH's Grease Lightning is my saviour. It gets rid of my spots quick as a flash, just when I need it - I can't complain about something that works magic like that!
What are your skincare staples?
