The Autumn Tag

Autumn is actually my favourite season of the year. This year it's acted as a new start for me - I've started university, I've finally sorted a flat with Matt and I'm 21 next month (exciting!). Since it's my favourite season, I've been really enjoying reading other people's Autumn Tag posts, and Jaouaher from Brunette Happiness suggested I give it a go. So, here we go!

1. Favourite thing about Autumn?

There are so many. It acts as a transition period for me between summer and winter, whether that be in terms of clothes, make-up or even the things I do! I love the cosy feeling it gives everyone, and everyone seems a lot more merry (is that just me?). Also - it's my birthday. What's not to love?

2. Favourite drink?

Hands down, white hot chocolates from Starbucks. Matt only introduced me to them a few months ago, and everytime we go back to his parents', I get one on the way there and on the way back. Very calorific, but definitely worth it!

3. Favourite scent/candle?

Despite not liking the taste, I love the smell of cinnamon. It makes me feel all Christmassy, and gets me feeling all festive!

4. Best lipstick?

I love darker shades for autumn and winter, so I have quite a few! If I can pick two, they're Rimmel's Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 and Topshop's Beguiled Lipstick. They are both gorgeous!

5. Go-to moisturiser?

My skin tends to get a bit dry with the colder weather, so I've been using Origins' Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask twice a week so my skin doesn't completely dry out. On the in-between days, I've been using Lush's Imperialis Moisturiser and it's been working wonderfully.

6. Go-to colours for the eyes?

I'm a neutrals girl at heart, so I don't usually go 'out there' when it comes to my eyes. Browns/taupes/creams tend to work best for me, but I've just bought MAC's Sumptuous Olive which is described as a 'khaki as pearl' on the MAC website - very experimental for me!

7. Favourite music or band/singer to listen to?

Recently, I've been listening to Arctic Monkeys a lot - I've just bought AM, their new album, and I'm loving it. If you haven't listened to it already I definitely recommend it!

8. Favourite outfit to wear (i.e. boots and a scarf combo)?

My favourite outfit for autumn is a dress with a jumper over the top, my Chelsea boots and this bag from H&M. It's warm enough but not too warm, making it perfect for those in-between days!

9. Autumn treat?

Definitely buying new clothes and make-up. I use a change of season as a reason to treat myself over and over again. Great for me... Not so much for my bank balance!

10. Favourite place to be?

It may seem boring to some, but I love sitting on the sofa under a blanket watching a film with a hot chocolate. Being at home is my favourite thing during the colder months, everything is so cosy!
