Quenching Skin's Thirst with Origins!

I'm always a bit dubious about buying into the hype when it comes to skincare products. And if there's one product I've seen more hype over than any other, it's the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask - I've seen SO many reviews and blog posts on it in recent months, I've never seen something quite like it. So, before spending £22 on something I wasn't sure I really needed (I'm a student - on a student budget!), I wanted to make sure it would do good things for my skin. I trawled through review after review from people with dry skin through to oily skin, and after a lot of research, I finally caved in and bought it.

The lovely lady from John Lewis recommended I use this twice a week, so as not to overload my skin with product. The mask is aimed towards those with dry skin - I have normal to combination skin, but I've been experiencing some dry patches at the top of my nose and across my forehead, and I thought this would sort those out. It contains Hyaluronic Acid which helps quench your skin and trap hydration, working with your skin overnight so your skin feels incredibly nourished in the morning and 'ready to face the day'. If you've been reading my blog for a little while, you may already know that if a product smells amazing, I'm more likely to buy it and this is no different - the Apricot Kernel Oil not only makes your face smell lovely, but it's loaded with fatty acids and antioxidants that plump and clear your skin - you can't complain really!

After using this mask for about six weeks, I can definitely see improvements in the condition of my skin. Not only does it feel more hydrated, but it definitely looks clearer and plumper! Also, despite this product being for dry skin it hasn't made my skin greasy at all - something I was a bit scared of when I first bought it. This mask has become a staple part of my skincare routine, I adore using it for its clearing qualities (the fruity scent is just a bonus!), and I can definitely see myself repurchasing it in the future.

Have you tried this mask or any other Origins products? What did you think?
