Imagine the scene: The most incredible man in the world has asked you out on a date. He looks like Ryan Gosling, he has the body of David Beckham and can dance and sing like Justin Timberlake. But, two days beforehand, you wake up and your face feels strange... You've felt this before, and it fills you with dread - there's a huge spot brewing under your skin, and you know that after it's made its grand entrance a day later, it'll take about three days to disappear. Is it going to ruin your chances with this celebrity-hybrid super hunk? No chance, cue Mask of Magnaminty.
Now, I'm not going to say this mask is going to get you the man I've created above (if he existed, my knees would be jelly and I'd be in a Sophie-shaped pool on the floor), but it does work wonders. My skin has been nothing less than terrible in the last few months, whether that be stress or the fact that chocolate has become my new best friend, and I needed something to sort my face out before I broke down.

LUSH is one of those brands that I always go to in times of need, but I'd never tried a face mask from them before. I explained to the lovely lady the problems I'd been having and she recommended Mask of Magnaminty straight away - I'd been recommended it before, and I was intrigued if it actually did what it said on the tin.
The mask is perfect for sensitive skin, as it contains bentonite gel, talc and kaolin (these basically mean that it glides onto your skin easily, so you're not dragging it across and disrupting anything!), as well as ground aduki beans and evening primrose seeds which you can use to gently scrub your skin when you're washing it off - getting rid of any dead skin cells and making your skin feel squeaky clean! It also contains peppermint oil, and I can't explain to you how incredible it smells. Not only does it feel like a packet of Polos are having a party on your face, it wakes you up instantly and makes you feel super refreshed - perfect for hangovers... But don't tell anyone I said that.
If I had millions of pounds, I'd buy you all this little pot of joy just so you could try it out for yourselves - my skin's never felt so clean, and I can literally feel the impurities washing away when I take this off. If you're looking for a face mask, look no further - I've already found it for you!
Have you tried any LUSH face masks? Which was your favourite?

Picturing that scene made me go weak at the knees! Though I am imagining a bit of Bradley Cooper in there to make things even more gorgeous haha. I love this mask it broke my heart when I ran out, it gets rid of spots so well and just feels so great on the skin (pssstt, I use it to aid hangovers too!;-)
ReplyDeleteOoh, a bit of Bradley Cooper would do just as nicely! ;) It's great isn't it, the perfect spot (cough, hangover) cure! xo
DeleteI love Lush face masks but somehow have managed to never try this one even though it's one of their most known! Sounds amazing from your review though so might have to go purchase for those hungover days....

DeleteI've never heard of this, but I love hearing all about new products. I get stuck in a rut, so keeps me inspired. I might want to look into this as it sounds great! xx
