So, of course, when me and Matt had a Friday where we weren't doing anything, I summoned my inner seven year-old and convinced him to take me to my childhood haven! Having spent the majority of the journey there getting super excited about being in the sun, we decided to take a little stroll down the pier to warm ourselves up (as if we really needed it in the first place)...
If you're not feeling a mile-long walk down the pier, you can always take this bad-boy as an alternative...

But Matthew? He decided on this mammoth beast...
After gorging on ice cream, we decided to have a little competition. Time for the arcade! There were plenty of vintage-style arcade games, which I thought were the most incredible things ever.
I wanted to stay there, or take a couple of them home with me...
...I'm not sure I could fit this one in my bag though. Unfortunately.
I tried (and failed) to win at every single arcade game going. I'm blaming my poor form on the fact I'm not used to the sun... pale people problems, you see. To take my mind off my complete lack of victory, we wanted to take another little stroll through the little side streets, which are adorable.
A long walk round took us to plenty of little shops, which were obviously catered towards a lady with a sweet tooth such as myself...

Southport is always one of those places that takes me right back to my childhood. I'm feeling super nostalgic right now, I wish I could go back fifteen years so I could appreciate it all over again!
What are your favourite places to go in the summer? Are there any places from your childhood that you love to go back to now? Let me know!

It was! I want to go back already, Adela! xo
DeleteWe actually went to one of my favourite childhood places yesterday! We went to the Princess Diana Memorial Park in Hyde Park, London. Somewhere I used to (and still do) love when we went to London. Fortunately my youngest sisters are still young enough to play in the park so I played also, under the guise of taking photos of them!
