The Beauty Blogger Holy Grail

If you haven't heard of this micellar cleansing water from Bioderma, I'd first like to ask you which rock you've been hiding under for the last god knows how long. Yes, this product has been reviewed and reviewed by everybody and their mother, but I recently repurchased it, and I wanted to add my two cents.

I first bought it last year, when there was a huge amount of hype surrounding it, and I wanted to give it a go. Gone were the days of thinking I could get away with swiping a make-up wipe over my face and being ready for bed (don't shout, I'm sure we went through that at some stage!), and I wanted a make-up remover that didn't wreck my skin completely. I had a huge overhaul in the skincare stakes, and this was part of it.

Most people say you need around two cotton pads soaked in this cleansing water in order to remove all your make-up. Of course, that depends on the amount of make-up you have on in the first place; my average is usually around three or four (damn you, waterproof mascara!). Saying this, I am super happy with how this product works. My make-up comes off effortlessly - which is definitely an improvement on make-up wipes - and instead of being left with a face feeling sticky like I envisaged I would, my skin felt fresh, and super duper clean. A big thumbs up from me!

Of course, this isn't going to replace a cleanser. I use this to remove my make-up, and then a cleanser after that, so I can make sure that my face is completely free from make-up - who wants a pillow stained with traces of foundation and mascara in the morning? I thought not!

I can't recommend this product enough. I found it on eBay for £12.25 for a 500ml bottle, with £2.90 postage on top. I ordered it on the Thursday morning and by the Friday lunchtime it was already through my letterbox; I've linked it above if you want to have a little looksie!

Have you tried any products from Bioderma? What did you think?

  2. I've heard so much about Bioderma obviously! I'm pretty happy with my L'Oreal one though - it's amazing and much much cheaper/more readily available! I've also heard that Bioderma test theirs on animals so that may be a negative for some! Lovely review though and I'm sure I'll try it out in the future! :) x

    1. Yeah it seems to be so common in the beauty blogging world! I haven't heard that - I'll have to have a look into it! On the PETA website it says L'Oreal do though(?!) I'll definitely be giving this some reading. xo
