How Much Does My Face Cost?

I saw this post over on Hayley's blog, Tea Party Beauty, and I thought it was really interesting. I never really put that much thought into how much I spend on my make-up, and how much money worth's of make-up I'm putting on my face each day. Needless to say, I'm going to feel super guilty after this! This is based on the products that I used yesterday, don't judge me too much!

Skin
Bioderma Sensibio H2O - £12.99
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - £14.75
Liz Earle Skin Tonic - £13.25
Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser - £19.25
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask - £20
Total - £80.24

Verdict - I genuinely had no idea that I spent this much on my skincare. You wouldn't be able to tell it from the state of my skin at the moment - it's like playing dot to dot on my face!

Face
Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer - £6.99
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation - £9.99
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - £4.19
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - £3.99
Natural Collection Blusher - £1.99
Illamasqua Highlighter - £18
Illamasqua Cream Foundation - £23
Total - £68.15

Verdict - Once again, I didn't realise I spent this much. (It's a good thing I wasn't using my Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation instead of the Bourjois one, that's £27 instead of £10 - I think I'm going to cry!). I was doing quite well in the beginning stages of this I think, only using high street products. But the Illamasqua products have creeped their way in and boosted the bill up a tad. Oops.

Eyes
Rimmel Exaggerate Eyeshadow Primer - £4.19
Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette - £20
L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim Eyeliner - £5.49
Rimmel White Eyeliner - £3.99
Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil - £2.99
Maybelline The Volum Falsies Flared Mascara - £7.99
Total - £44.65

Verdict - Is it terrible that I'm not shocked about this at all? I'm actually quite happy with this. I prefer making a statement with my eyes rather than my lips, so I don't mind spending the money on it. (That's my attempt at justifying it!)

Lips
LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub - £5.25
MAC Matte Lipstick in Mehr - £14
Carmex Lip Balm - £2.69
Total - £12.94

Verdict - The lowest of all the totals by a country mile. I'm happy with this. Ish.

Overall Total - £214.18

Verdict - I did not expect it to be that much! Bloody hell. I'm definitely considering going on a spending ban... But then again, maybe I need a few bits and bobs... ;)

I tag you all to do this! It really makes you think about how much you're putting on your face on a daily basis. Not even just in terms of the amount of products, the money's worth that you're using might shock you!

Leave me a link to your post in the comments below so I can have a nosey - and maybe stop feeling so bad about mine!
