I went a bit crazy on payday. I'm not going to lie, every time payday comes around and I see a fair few hundred pounds in my account, I suddenly forget about the bills I have to pay and the things I have to buy and think I'm a millionaire, with more money to burn than sense. Needless to say, this month was no different, and even though my bank balance is paying for it now, I am so impressed with what I bought this payday. I've been hearing a lot about Illamasqua recently, and after their 50% off last week where everyone went crazy and was raving about their products, I knew I'd have to invest in some of them!
Liverpool is lucky enough to have its own Illamasqua store, one of only three flagship stores in the country, which I only found out about a few weeks ago! I desperately needed a new foundation, and I'd heard good things about their Skin Base Foundation, so I went in in the hope the ladies would be able to match me up. I was amazed by the service there, the lady sat me down, asked me to take off all my make-up (eeek!), and started to put together a day to day look using the foundation she matched me up with.
After she'd finished, I decided to buy the Skin Base Foundation, the Gleam Highlighter, the Cream Foundation (I know the colour is super dark but the lady used it to contour, which looked amazing and I'm going to give it a go!) and the Highlighter Brush. The good thing about the Highlighter Brush is that it can be used to apply foundation too, and if you wipe it on some tissue in between applying the different products, you don't have to swap brushes before you apply your highlighter and contour - a one-brush-fits-all kind of thing!
Even though I spent a lot of money there, I see these products as an investment rather than a splurge (the best way I can justify it!), and I would definitely recommend Illamasqua products to others. I'm super happy with the products I've bought, and if you're looking for quality products, you can't really go wrong with Illamasqua!
Have you tried any Illamasqua products? What did you think?
I haven't tried any Illamasqua products and unfortunately the site crashed on the 50% off night and my order didn't go through - very sad :(

DeleteThese products are all so beautiful, ahh I think Illamasqua is such a beautiful brand. The packaging looks so sleek and sophisticated, and the powders seem so pigmented! I may have to take a look at the Illamasqua foundations!

The packaging really is lovely isn't it! I think that's one of the main reasons I love it so much, it's nice when brands make an effort with the way their products look :) xo
