On Thursday, I got paid! I've been waiting for this for so long, I hardly got any pay last month because I started halfway through the month, so this time I said I was going to treat myself. I convinced the boy to take me to the Trafford Centre, mainly because I haven't been in ages and I wanted to splurge a little. As you may have seen from my wishlist post here, there were a couple of things I'd been lusting after, so I figured I'd go and have a look and see what I wanted to buy.

I've never been into Boux Avenue before (shock horror), so I thought I'd go in and see what the hype was about. There was SO much pretty underwear that I wanted to buy, but I settled on a cute royal blue set. Plus, the lovely sales assistant told me that knickers were free when I bought that set, so happy! The only downside is that I've now signed up for a Boux Avenue card... not good (for my bank balance, anyway).

I've seen the Topshop Vectra shoes appearing on a couple of blogs lately, I've wanted a pair of studded shoes for a few months now and these looked perfect. I know that I'll get plenty of wear out of them, they'll be easy to team with tons of outfits, not bad!

A couple of beauty purchases now... Starting with this Essie nail polish that I picked up in Boots. I've wanted a nude nail polish that I can wear in work, as having bright nails makes them look a bit garish sometimes. I found this one, Not Just a Pretty Face, and fell in love. It's such a lovely colour, and having not tried an Essie nail polish before, I'm quite impressed - no chips yet!

On my wishlist post on Wednesday, my #1 was the Solid Shampoo from Lush. It had been recommended from a friend, as it's supposed to make your hair super healthy and super strong after only a few washes - something I desperately need. The cinnamon inside it is supposed to make your hair grow a lot quicker too, so I guess I'll see how I get on with this!

Another purchase from Lush was my lip scrub. There was a choice between Bubblegum and Popcorn, such a difficult decision! But after toying between the two for about ten minutes, I decided on the Bubblegum one... Who doesn't love a bit of bubblegum?

Two final treats to myself - the Urban Decay Basics Naked Palette, and a MAC Lipstick. I'd wanted the UD Palette since I saw it on Stef's blog here, as I was in the same boat - I wanted an eyeshadow palette, but nothing too crazy in terms of the colours, and something simple for a beginner like me!

The MAC lipstick I chose was Creme Cup, it was a toss up between this one and Shy Girl (which is more of a peachy shade, a possible purchase next payday!). It's described as a 'light blue pink' on the MAC website, perfect for someone as pale as me, who just wanted an everyday lipstick and nothing that would wash me out completely.
