My First MAC Palette


MAC Eyeshadow Palette - £6.50

This payday, I was paid a hell of a lot more than I thought I was going to be. Now this can be very dangerous and very pricey - and this month was no exception! I've been lusting after my own MAC palette for God knows how long, and I thought that while I was still in the 'I got paid more so apparently I'm a millionaire' mood, I decided to splash out on one... While my bank balance weeped.

In just a few short weeks, I have the honour of being a bridesmaid for my sister-in-law-to-be, and for her and my brother's big day, I'm doing my own make-up (eeep!). I've been trying and testing a few shades for a long time, and I've decided to go for a subtle neutral smokey eye. Now, I already own the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette (see my review on that here), but I wanted to add a few more shades, as neutrals are so easy to wear and can look great day or night.

I was umming and ahhing for AGES (ask Matt, he was my unlucky and unwilling accompaniment that day), but I'm incredibly happy with what I chose. The shades I decided to add to my palette were: Naked Lunch, a minimal pink with a hint of shimmer; Mythology, a gorgeous copper shade; Brown Down, which is a kind of teddy bear brown; and Handwritten, a rich chocolate brown.

I've been experimenting a little already, and I can't wait to put this little treat to use ASAP!

    That is a gorgeous palette, you have chosen all the colours I love too, I have got all apart from Brown Down, and that is going on the list!

    My fave MAC shadows are Rice Paper, Swiss Chocolate, All that Glitters (similar to Naked Lunch) and Expensive Pink amongst a lot of others :)
