Save The Blow Dry!

I'm just going to put it out there - I'm a lazy cow. If I can save some time anywhere, I'll find a way to do it - and if you have a way I can spend less time getting ready... I'm all ears! I'm one of the lucky ladies who can go five, six days plus without washing her hair and for that, I thank my genes - and the fact I've dyed my hair more times than I've had school dinners.

What I hate about not washing my hair, though, is the fact that if I treat myself to a bubble bath (which I've been doing a lot lately - I'm putting this down to getting to grips with the colder weather, but I think we all know it's just because I love using Lush bath bombs!), then I have to pile my hair on top of my head in some kind of scruffy bun, and because of the heat and the humidity of my bathroom, I get out looking like a mix between Medusa and a poodle - not cute.

So, is there anything that can stop this happening and let me enjoy my ever-increasing amount of bubble baths? Of course there is - Save The Blow Dry! Essentially, Save The Blow Dry is a shower cap, but don't let that fool you - it has an inner layer of soft micro-weave towel which gets prevents any condensation or humidity from wrecking your hair, and then an outer layer of plastic protection which prevents water from seeping through.

I can't explain how surprised I was with the results - I was sure that I would still have to have my hairdryer and straighteners on stand-by, but my hair came out exactly the same as when it went in, and it wasn't flat at all. It's also incredibly roomy, so even though I don't have particularly long hair, I'm sure this would suit you long-haired ladies too.

You can also use this as a cap to cover up your hair when you've used a hair mask - you just turn it inside out (so the plastic is on the inside) and wear it like that, so you can carry on with what you want to do without worrying about a towel falling off your head or getting conditioner everywhere - very clever, I must say!

If you're sick and tired of styling your hair every day, then I couldn't recommend this to you enough. Say no to frizzy hair and Save The Blow Dry for another day!

Cinnamon Shampoo

Let me just start by saying - I have always loved LUSH's products. I love the way that they ensure that all their products are tested on humans, not animals, which I believe is vitally important when I buy something. So, when on a visit to the Trafford Centre (you can see a post on what I bought there here), I knew I had to visit LUSH, as their products are some of my favourites, and let's face it, the shop smells amazing.

A friend recommended the Shampoo Bar to me a few months ago, as I had been complaining that my hair wasn't growing at all, and I had been waiting for it to get a kick start for a good few years now. She told me that she'd used this before, and not only does it apparently make your hair grow quicker, it makes it stronger and it prevents hair falling out too. I was in a huge rush to buy it, so I was so happy when I finally got my hands on it!

The shampoo uses cinnamon, which I wasn't too sure of at first (I hate the smell and taste of cinnamon, ugh), but I was assured by the lovely sales assistant that this was part of the reason why it made your hair so strong and healthy. So I thought I'd make do, if it was going to make my hair all these incredible things, then why not! Strangely, I actually really love the smell of this, it's not so overpowering that it makes me feel ill, which I thought it would be. Super happy with that!

I've been using this for at least a month now, and even though it's quite a small bar, it seems to be really long lasting - I can't even see a change in size yet, and I've been using it quite a lot! I can definitely see a change in my hair, as I was told it would, it feels so much stronger and when I'm brushing or washing my hair, hardly any hairs fall out, meaning it's in better condition and it's thicker too.

In terms of the growth of my hair, I'm giving this a few months, as I'm not expecting my hair to grow inches and inches overnight - although a girl can dream! I'm definitely happy with this though, I'd definitely recommend it to others, because not only is it a great product, you know that it's been made in a humane way, and the price of the product is definitely worth it!

Have you tried any LUSH products? What's your favourite?
