post-breakup pick-me-up

Breaking up with someone is never fun. The last month's been a bit rubbish (to say the least), to be honest all I've done is watch Gossip Girl and drowned my sorrows with a few glasses bottles of wine. But after a few weeks of wallowing in despair about my inability to be in a successful relationship, I've wanted (and needed) a little pick-me-up. Florence and Fred came just in time then, and when they very kindly asked me to have a sneak peek at some of their new underwear, who was I to say no?

When it comes to underwear, I'm somewhat of a buying maniac. Matching sets are all I wear - difficult when you're spending £25+ a set in places like Boux Avenue, especially on a student budget. But, thankfully, F&F have got it covered. This Cuba Lace Set in Pink* is just £12 (bra at £8 here and knickers at £4 here), so you get a lot more bang for your buck than you would normally. And, quality is definitely not sacrificed in the progress, the underwear is delicate, expensive-feeling and definitely makes me feel like a hot tamale!

If you're like me, you'll know how much of a confidence boost new, pretty underwear can give you. Previously, F&F weren't a brand I associated with cute underwear, but they have definitely upped their game. Browsing their site, I've already picked out a few more sets I'd like to get my hands on - move over Boux Avenue, there's a new kid in town!

*I also would like to give a big thanks to Florence and Fred for the lovely little presents that were sent along with my underwear - chocolates, Soap and Glory goodies and some gorgeous Essie nail polishes - thank you for giving a girl her mojo back!*

  4. I know you're probably sick of hearing it, but time really does heal - but before enough time has passed, lovely underwear, wine and ice cream are ALWAYS the answer!
