Winter Lips

In the winter months, I love bringing out my bold, dark shades of lipstick. It seems like as soon as the weather gets a little colder, I say bye-bye to my pinks and corals, and wave hello to my reds, burgundies and purples. In today's post, I'm going to be showing you my top five lipsticks for the chilly weather!

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in '01'
This is the shade that Kate Moss wears in the Rimmel adverts for her range of lipsticks - so you know it's not going to be a subtle shade! It's a gorgeous hollywood red (despite looking more brown in the bullet - don't let that fool you!), and it really packs a punch. Easy to apply and super long-lasting, this is one for you statement-lipped girls!

MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick in' Dubbonet'
Dubbonet is a lovely deepened claret shade which suits winter make-up down to the ground. It's super creamy and glides on like a dream, which is great for the colder months - no dried out, flaky-looking lips here! Quickly becoming one of my favourite shades, I can see myself wearing this a lot in the next few months.

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in '107'
This much raved-about lipstick is one of the newest additions to my make-up collection. After seeing so many people go on and on about it, I finally picked it up and I couldn't be happier. The colour pay-off is incredible, and despite being one of Rimmel's 'matte' lipsticks, it's surprisingly creamy and moisturising. Gorgeous shade and easy to apply - can't go wrong here!

MAC Matte Lipstick in 'Russian Red'
One of my first MAC lipsticks, and definitely one of my favourites. This intense red with blue undertones suits most skintones, and the blue undertones really make your teeth look a lot whiter - can't complain! This little treat is super long-lasting and works well teamed with MAC's Brick lipliner; if you're looking for your first venture into red lipsticks, I couldn't recommend this enough!

Topshop Lipstick in 'Beguiled'
My one and only Topshop lipstick (I'm planning to add more soon, don't worry!), Beguiled is a gorgeous plum shade which is great for a statement lip. The pigmentation is great, though it's a lot less scary than it looks in the bullet, so try not to be scared! Perfect for day or night, Topshop have really got it right with this one.
