For me, Maybelline are a brand that I always seem to come back to in terms of choosing a mascara. I've tried what feels like millions of different mascaras, but no other high-street brand seems to do it like Maybelline. After hearing so many people rave about The Volum' Express mascaras, I knew I had to give one a go - what kind of beauty blogger would I be if I didn't!
In The Volum' Express range, there are a few to choose from - I was in my element when having a little looksie in Superdrug a couple of weeks ago! The one I opted for was The Volum' Express Falsies Flared Mascara. There are two other versions of the Falsies range of mascaras choose from as well - the standard one and the waterproof one, but my lashes are quite short and lack any sort of curl so I thought this would be perfect.

I was instantly interested in the shape of the brush; you use the straight side first to lengthen the lashes, and then the curved side against the lashes to curve them and add the volume. I found this worked really well for me, it added a lot of volume without it being clumpy which I really liked - no one likes spider lashes!
It has a really quick drying formula which is a lifesaver too - I have a habit of sneezing right after I've put mascara on (such a huge pain, hello panda eyes!), so that definitely reduces the chances of that happening! The one piece of advice I'd give if you were going to use this is not to zigzag the brush back and forwards across your lashes - the quick-drying formula means that this sometimes makes your lashes stick together instead of separating them like it's supposed to!
If you're looking for a new mascara, look no further, I've already found it for you. I can't recommend this enough, for me it's much better than the original - definitely give it a go!
Have you tried the Falsies Flared mascara? Which is your favourite mascara?

DeleteI really like the Maybelline mascaras, I often come back to them, but from the high-street I prefer Astor mascaras, they just seem better for me. xx
