Lip Lovin'

So for today's post, I thought I'd show you some of my favourite lip products - my top five, to be exact! I always love reading these posts because you get an idea for what products are the most liked, and I always seem to discover a new product when I'm browsing through these posts. I'm thinking of doing this as a regular thing, with eye/face products, and then my top five from specific brands - let me know if you like this idea!

These are in no particular order, but here are my top five lip products right now, enjoy!

This was my second MAC lipstick. I originally went in looking for Shy Girl, which is a peachy nude colour, but I saw this one and completely changed my idea about what I wanted. It's described on the website as a 'dirty blue pink', which describes it perfectly for me. I prefer lipsticks with bluish undertones, as they make your teeth look whiter, and don't wash my pale skin out - a definite thumbs up from me! You can see a full review on this here.

Yet another MAC lipstick - I can't seem to get enough lately! Of course, this lipstick has been featured on almost every beauty blog on the planet, but I only bought it recently, after reading dozens and dozens of reviews on it. It's described as an 'intense bluish red' - again, the blue undertones are what attracted me to this in the first place. It's such a statement colour, and I absolutely love the way you can wear it day or night. You can see a full review on this here.

How much am I loving MAC, please? I bought this lip pencil when I bought the Russian Red lipstick. I wanted a lip liner as I'm super conscious of lipsticks bleeding - definitely not a good look! I was recommended this as a match to Russian Red, and I must say it matches perfectly. It's easy to apply, and you can colour in all of your lips with the pencil before applying lipstick if you want a more intense colour - a definite recommendation!

I'm going to say it - this is my favourite part of my make-up routine. I bought this a few months ago, as I tend to get dry, flakey lips (attractive, I know), and I needed something to smooth them out before I apply anything to them. I'd seen this floating around the blogosphere for a while, and wanted to give it a whirl myself, and I'm so happy I did! It works perfectly, and leaves my lips feeling amazing. The plus side is, it's tastes incredible too! You can see a full review on this here.

I saw this a few weeks ago when I was having a look at the Revlon Lip Butters. I swatched a couple of shades on the back of my hand, and after a lot (and I mean a lot) of umming and ahhing, I settled on Socialite - all the colours are just so pretty! I absolutely love this. The colour is not in-your-face, but it's not completely transparent either. The only downside is that it can get quite sticky after an hour, but I've found that this can be stopped if I put a bit of Carmex on beforehand. Perfect!
