Revlon are not usually a brand I go for when I'm looking for a new lip colour - I stick to MAC and Rimmel for anything like that. I originally only went over to the Revlon counter to have a look at their Lip Butters, which have been raved and raved about, but after seeing the new Ultimate Suede Lipsticks and the colours that they have, I was sold. There are 20 shades in all, the one I chose being Socialite - a warm peachy pink. I'd wanted a lipstick like this for so long, as I think it's perfect for summer - I hate wearing tons of make-up during summer, especially on my eyes, so I think I have to have a little pop of colour on my lips to stop me looking dead!
Revlon claim that it gives you moisture as well as wear. I've found that with a lot of lipsticks, they always give you moisture without wear (I'm looking at you, MAC Cremesheen!), or vice versa. This is no exception - although very moisturising at first, after a few hours my lips started to feel a little sticky, not good. Although I've found that applying a bit of lip balm beforehand, and maybe once throughout the day, gets rid of the risk of stickiness, and leaves your lips feeling super soft and moisturised - my personal favourite for this being my trusty Carmex!
The lasting power of these lipsticks is incredible, you can wear them all day and the colour does not fade at all. It doesn't even transfer onto cups/mugs, which is even better, I'm forever wiping lipstick stains off my mugs!
Overall, I'd definitely recommend these new lipsticks. Despite the stickiness, this can be countered with lip balm, so it's not a huge problem. The colour works really well, and there are so many colours to get your hands on - something I'm definitely tempted to do in the next few weeks!
